The
MBA Program is designed to provide both a
portfolio of strong functional skills and
the ability to apply, adapt and integrate
those skills in different management settings.
Enrollment
The students are required to register for
the MBA Program of the ICFAI University, Tripura
under flexible mode.
Eligibility
Award
Successful students will receive the MBA degree
from the ICFAI University, Tripura subject
to University Regulations.
Duration:
Two years.

Program Structure
The Program is conducted over 4 semesters
in 2 years. The Program covers 27 courses
apart from 2 Management Theses and 4 courses
of Soft Skill Labs. Students are also required
to undergo a Summer Internship Program.
Electives
The students are encouraged to choose eight
courses from three elective streams namely;
Marketing, Finance and HRM. Elective courses
will be offered subject to registration of
a minimum number of students.

Admission
Procedure
Eligibility
Criteria
- Graduation
in any discipline with 45% and above aggregate
marks.
- Final year
degree students awaiting results.
For the purpose of determining eligibility based
on aggregate percentage of marks, the procedure
used by the respective university in award of
the degree will only be taken into consideration.
All applicants should have completed a minimum
of 15 years of formal schooling by July 05,
2008. Applicants who have completed their graduation
on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis
are not eligible for admission into the program.
Students in their final year bachelor’s
degree course are also eligible to apply, provided
they complete their graduation requirements
including practical examinations/viva assignments
before July 05, 2008. Such applicants will have
to produce a certificate to that effect at the
time of admission. For any extension of this
deadline, the applicants should apply separately,
giving the schedule of their graduation examination.
Extension may be granted on the basis of the
circumstances of the case. The admission of
applicants will, however, remain provisional
until they produce marksheets and a degree certificate
establishing their eligibility. The last date
for submitting the proof of graduation transcripts
is November 01, 2008, failing which the provisional
admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Admission Criteria
The selection of applicants is made through
Admission Test and Interview.
Admission
Test
Students seeking admission into the MBA Program
are required to provide valid scores of GMAT®
/ CAT 2007/XAT 2008 / MAT or interview call
letters for IBSAT® 2007. Applicants are
required to appear for Magnus Entrance Test
(MET) 2008. Applicants who have scored 60% and
above at their degree exams are exempted from
MET.
MET is structured on GMAT® pattern with
multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s
abilities in quantitive techinques, data adequacy,
vocabulary and analytical reasoning. MET 2008
will be conducted at all Magnus Campuses. For

Campus.
Submission of
Application Form
Applicants can submit the Application Form for
Academic Support and Placement Assistance for
the MBA Program at the respective Magnus Campus
where they wish to enroll
Interview
The applicants will have to go through a personal
interview. This is to determine the student’s
attitude and motivation to pursue the program.
Original certificates should be produced for
verification at the time of interview. The original
certificates will be returned after verification.
The admission decision will be communicated
after the interview. All the selected candidates
will be required to pay the admission fee after
the admission decision is announced on or before
July 12, 2008.
Past Academic
Record
While evaluating applicants, due consideration
is given to the applicant’s past academic
achievements. Apart from the marks/CGPA secured,
various academic achievements and honors obtained
by the applicant like professional and postgraduate
qualifications will also be considered.
Pre-MBA Program
To facilitate better understanding and learning
during the MBA Program, MSB has designed a Pre-MBA
Program consisting of 4 courses. Each course
will be covered in about 40 hours. The courses
are:
- Introduction
to Business Mathematics and Statistics
- Introduction
to Financial Accounting n English Language
Bridge Course
- PC Lab
All
students who are granted provisional admission
will need to successfully complete the Pre-MBA
Program. The Admissions Committee may waive
one or more courses of the Pre-MBA Program based
on the academic background, performance in the
interview. The Pre-MBA classes start from July
14, 2008.

Admission
Fee
Admission fee of Rs.6,000 is to be paid by all
the selected candidates after the admission
decision is announced. The Admission Fee is
to be paid on or before July 12, 2008 by Demand
Draft in favor of “Magnus School of Business”
payable at Hyderabad. Admission fee is non-refundable.
University Fee
A fee of Rs. 15,000 is to be paid to the ICFAI
University, Tripura at the time of registration
for Semester I. This fee should be paid through
Demand Draft in favor of “ICFAI
University” payable at Agartala, Tripura.
Semester-wise
Payment for Program Fee
Students can pay the program fee in 4 semesters,
at the begining of each semester. All semester-wise
fee payments are to be made by way of Demand
Draft in favor of “Magnus School of Business”
payable at Hyderabad.
The payment schedule for program fee along with
the due dates will be indicated in the Student
Handbook.
The Program fee includes Tuition fee, Student
Welfare Fund and Alumni Membership Fee. The
tuition fee includes the cost of courseware,
summer internship co-ordination fee, final placement
co-ordination fee, library fee and fee payable
to the University towards examinations.
